A Month of Reflection, A Day of Celebration With the crescent moon marking the 1st of Shawwal, 1447 AH, the holy month of Ramadan came to a close. Here at the Dar ul Muslimeen Orphanage in Morogoro, Eid al-Fitr was welcomed with excitement, gratitude, and a strong sense of community.
Morning Prayers and Festive Spirits The day began early with the traditional Eid prayers. The children were dressed in their best clothes, eager to participate in the morning’s activities. The atmosphere was filled with the sense of renewal and joy that is central to the spirit of Eid.
A Feast to Remember Following the prayers, everyone gathered for a special Eid feast.. The shared meal was a highlight for the children, offering a time to sit together, share stories, and simply enjoy the festivities after a month of fasting.
Games, Gifts, and Laughter The afternoon was dedicated to celebration. The children participated in various games and activities organized by the staff and volunteers. The distribution of Eid gifts and sweets brought out countless smiles, making the day truly special for every child in our care.
