Commemorating Ashura at Masjid Fatima Zahra A.S.

On Thursday, June 25, 2026 (10th of Muharram, 1448 AH), the children and staff of Dar ul Muslimeen Orphanage joined the local community to commemorate the Day of Ashura at Masjid Fatima Zahra A.S. This solemn occasion provided a profound space to reflect on the ultimate sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and the timeless principles of justice, truth, and resilience he championed on the plains of Karbala.The day’s observances were designed to foster both spiritual growth and community solidarity among our children:

• Majlis and Azaadari: The congregation participated in heartfelt majalis, listening to scholars recount the history of Ashura. Our children engaged deeply in the mourning ceremonies, honoring the legacy of the Ahlulbayt.
• Moral Reflection: Discussions emphasized how Imam Hussain’s (AS) stand against oppression serves as an enduring moral compass, offering the children practical lessons in courage, integrity, and standing up for what is right.
• Community Niyaz: Following the prayers and recitations, a communal meal was distributed. This act of charity reinforced the importance of sharing, compassion, and unity within the community.
