Commemorating Arbaeen at Dar ul Muslimeen Orphanage
This year, the children, staff, and management of Dar ul Muslimeen Orphanage joined millions around the world in observing Arbaeen, marking the 40th day since the tragic events of Ashura.
Arbaeen is a powerful reminder of endurance, the preservation of truth, and the enduring legacy of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his family. For the children in our care, the story of the captives of Karbala—particularly the strength and unwavering patience of Bibi Zainab (S.A.) and Imam Sajjad (A.S.)—serves as a profound source of inspiration. It teaches them that no matter the hardships they face, courage, faith, and standing up for justice will always prevail.
Our commemoration activities included:
Majlis and Azadari: The children gathered for a solemn majlis, engaging in recitations, poetry, and heartfelt remembrance to honor the sacrifices made by the Ahlulbayt.
Educational Reflections: We held discussions centered on the historical significance of the walk to Karbala and the importance of resilience, community, and moral integrity in our daily lives.
Community Niyaz: In the generous spirit of Arbaeen, a special meal was prepared and shared together, reinforcing the bonds of brotherhood and community within our home.
We pray that the timeless lessons of Arbaeen continue to guide our children as they grow into resilient, compassionate, and faithful individuals.
